Dona Nobis Pacem, a dream of peace
Together with the Philharmonischer Chor Berlin, we give a concert as a tribute to and wish for Peace.
The concert was supposed to have taken place in May 2020, 75 years after World War II ended, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic.
The concert connects Verdi's work, Quattro Pezzi Sacri, for choir and orchestra, with Ralph Vaughan Williams' peace message Dona Nobis Pacem for choir, orchestra, and vocal soloists.
We also have the honor of premiering Te Deum by Sven David Sandström, one of the last works that this our most famous contemporary composer made before he passed away in 2019. As well as a premiere performance of a piece by the Ukrainian composer Anna Kuzina Rozhdestvenska, specially written for this occasion.
